Job summary

Saint Xavier University is seeking a part-time student employee to help manage Gilhooley’s Student Lounge. You will monitor access, log visits, assist guests, and support campus programs in a friendly, professional manner.

The role requires Federal Work-Study eligibility and enrollment as a SXU student. Hours are up to 10 per week, typically 11:00am–5:00pm weekdays and some weekend shifts, with duties including logs, clean-up, and information provision.

Qualifications

• Must be a student at Saint Xavier University.
• Must be Federal Work Study Eligible.
• Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access with Cougar Card swipe.
• Maintain attendance logs for space usage.
• Manage equipment check-out for the lounge.
• Perform basic cleaning to sanitize table tops, sweep floors and collect trash.
• Assist with facility concerns and report issues to staff.
• Provide information regarding programs and events.
• Become familiar with University policies to assist inquiries.
• Assist with special projects within the Division of Student Life.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
