Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to help deliver an outstanding retail experience on campus. You’ll greet customers, guide them to materials, and process sales at the POS, while keeping the store tidy and stocked.

This role supports daily operations, inventory, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced college-store setting. The position emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a positive customer-focused approach, with hourly compensation and a 90-day maximum

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and merchandise to meet their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge about merchandise, promotions, and services.
