Job summary

Barnes & Noble College's Campus Store Team Member (Temporary) supports the store during peak periods, delivering friendly service and assisting with inventory, merchandising, and daily operations. You will help students and faculty find materials, process purchases at the register, and maintain a welcoming, organized shopping environment.

This temporary position offers varied hours for up to 90 days, with opportunities to gain valuable retail experience and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing friendly service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other tasks.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers.
• Collaborate with teammates to accomplish daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store reflecting the Barnes & Noble College brand.
