Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is recruiting for a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service, help students find materials, and support daily store operations in a busy campus store.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions at the register, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory and order fulfillment while maintaining a welcoming environment aligned with the Barnes & Noble College brand.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately (cash, credit, financial aid).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other tasks.
