Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver an exceptional retail experience while supporting daily store operations during peak periods. You will greet customers, help locate course materials, and process transactions on the point-of-sale system.

The role requires flexibility, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work well with teammates in a fast-paced setting. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred; minimum age is 16.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexible schedule for temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment duties.
