Job summary

Barnes & Noble College on campus is seeking a Campus Store Team Member (Temporary) to deliver an exceptional retail experience for students and faculty. You will assist customers, locate materials, and maintain a welcoming environment in a busy campus store.

The role requires 16+ years old, prior retail or customer service experience preferred, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Temporary assignments may last up to 90 days with varied weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, convenience items, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks to keep the store customer-ready.
