Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a STEMCAP Program Assistant to support youth-centered STEM and art programming at Utah youth centers.

You will help develop educational activities, coordinate materials, and assist with data collection while partnering with the STEMCAP team and outside presenters. This part-time role requires an Associate’s Degree, strong organization, and excellent written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and collaboration required.
• Ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Experience with file and calendar management.
• Experience in community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Attend, facilitate, and document youth center presentations and events.
• Co-create STEM/Art programming for justice-impacted youth.
• Correspond with teachers and administrators to align schedules and supplies.
• Collaborate with presenters to design age-appropriate hands-on activities.
• Assist in recruiting presenters for STEMCAP workshops.
• Organize and maintain data, presentations, and STEMCAP files.
• Research local organizations to build beneficial connections.
