Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or related field; substitution on a year-for-year basis allowed.
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience supporting electronic security systems in a multi-building or campus environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; read and apply technical diagrams and system documentation.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional oversight and coordination of installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing operation of electronic access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and related security technologies.
• Collaborate with Security Technology Managers on planning, implementation strategies, training initiatives, and continuous improvement of campus security systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting, diagnostics, system optimization, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Coordinate and communicate with campus departments and team members to ensure alignment with security standards, project expectations, and timelines.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of security technology installed by vendors and system integrators to ensure compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
• Partner with IT and systems teams to support firmware updates, system integrations, and overall performance of security technology infrastructure.
• Contribute to system documentation, standards development, and operational procedures.
• Oversee lifecycle maintenance and complex troubleshooting of electronic security systems; apply independent judgment for long-term improvements.
• Ensure systems support coordinated emergency response capabilities, including lockdown functionality and real-time monitoring.
