Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a CSO Supervisor (Tech III) in the Division of Public Safety to provide operational oversight within the CSO unit, coordinating with campus partners and DPS to address safety and security needs.

The role supervises CSOs, participates in recruitment and training, oversees scheduling and budget alignment, and supports security operations during events while maintaining compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision experience in security or related fields.
• Proven ability to manage security operations, patrol oversight, and communication with campus partners.
• Familiarity with budgeting, procurement, and training program development.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage CSO staff, including recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee CSO security operations, patrol oversight, scheduling, payroll, and equipment management.
• Develop and maintain CSO training programs and ensure completed training is tracked.
• Review fiscal budget plans and oversee purchases aligned with procurement policies.
• Support other Security Services operations and adapt to evolving needs.
