Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder’s Division of Public Safety is hiring a CSO Supervisor to lead the Community Safety Officials (CSOs) and coordinate patrols, access control, and building security. The role oversees staffing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of safety across campus.

The position requires strong leadership, security operations knowledge, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and events.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage CSO staff, including recruitment, hiring, training, and oversight.
• Oversee lock/unlock procedures and routine security patrols; manage staffing, payroll and equipment.
• Develop and maintain a structured training program for CSOs and student staff; ensure training coverage and records.
• Review fiscal budget plans and oversee procurements aligned with university policies.
• Support other Security Services operations and adapt to evolving needs and events.
