Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer – Corporate Patrol to protect clients at education locations and beyond. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor campus areas, conduct rounds, and stay highly visible to deter incidents while helping students, staff, and visitors with clear communication.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and calls for service, and coordinating with campus staff and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, classrooms, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor entry points and common areas for unusual activity, verify identification and/or access permissions when required, and assist with visitor directions and information.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, document incidents, and communicate observations and instructions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
