Job summary

HOPES CAP, Inc. seeks a vigilant Security Guard to protect students, staff, and visitors across agency sites. You will monitor security cameras, patrol facilities, and enforce access control to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma and a valid NJ SORA license, with basic computer skills and calm handling of emergencies. You will participate in drills, report incidents, and collaborate with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and NJ SORA Security Officer License.
• Basic computer skills to access email and communicate within the agency.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students, staff, and visitors across agency facilities.
• Monitor security cameras and patrol buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate and conduct drills and emergency procedures.
• Control building access and verify visitor credentials.
• Prepare logs, incident reports and visitor records.
