Job summary

HOPES CAP, Inc. is seeking a Security Guard in Hoboken, NJ to protect students, staff, and visitors. The role supports a safe and welcoming environment and requires a SORA license and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities include monitoring cameras, conducting drills, controlling access, and assisting with emergencies. We offer health benefits, retirement plan, life insurance, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid NJ SORA License required.
• Basic computer skills for email and reporting.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and building security procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students, staff, and visitors throughout the facility.
• Monitor security cameras and patrol agency buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly fire drills, lockdowns, and other emergency procedures.
• Control building access and verify credentials of visitors.
• Respond to emergencies and work with local law enforcement and emergency personnel.
• Prepare and maintain logs, incident reports, and visitor records.
• Assist with elevator inspections, package delivery, and general support.
• Participate in agency initiatives, events, and trainings as assigned.
• Availability for evening, weekend and on-call assignments.
