Job summary

Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Emergency Readiness to protect clients across campus environments, including education sites. You will conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

A valid driver’s license is required. You will respond to incidents calmly, report findings clearly, and follow established campus procedures to keep people safe and secure.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to campus community members.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus facilities and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance following campus protocols.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with supervisors and campus representatives.
