Job summary

Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Response to protect university campuses. You will patrol campus buildings, respond to alarms, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while serving students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

This full-time role requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. The position offers a Wednesday-Sunday evening schedule and opportunities for training and growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Must possess an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of campus buildings and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control and visitor direction.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate security observations.
