Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a dedicated Security Officer for the Jefferson Washington Twp campus. The role covers security duties at fixed posts or patrols, identifying unauthorized individuals, and responding to incidents across university and hospital settings.

Under supervision, you will maintain logs, assist patients and staff, and support safety teams and training. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for Criminal Justice education and prior security experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or advanced training in criminal justice strongly preferred.
• Must understand SRC responsibilities and related security technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform security duties at fixed posts or on patrol across campus and facilities.
• Verify identification and escort unauthorized persons off campus as needed.
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies, notify supervisors, and document incidents.
• Maintain patrol logs and provide follow-up information to investigators and supervisors.
• Assist with parking issues and provide escorts as required.
• Support safety teams and training of new security staff as directed.
