Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect university and hospital personnel, patients, students, visitors, and campus assets. The role includes fixed-post and patrol duties, responding to service calls, identifying unauthorized individuals, and coordinating with supervisors in emergencies.

The incumbent will assist patients and staff, manage parking issues, and support safety teams, while upholding professional appearance and security protocols across all shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, police or military experience preferred.
• PA ACT 235 Certification within 90 days of hire (PA only).
• Valid driver’s license required for certain Jefferson locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide maximum protection for university/hospital personnel, patients, students, visitors, and Jefferson assets.
• Perform security duties at fixed posts or on patrol.
• Respond to calls for service and inspect for unauthorized persons and safety hazards.
• Escort unauthorized persons and assist with security-related incidents.
• Maintain daily patrol logs and report incidents to supervisors.
• Assist with campus parking issues and support safety teams, including trauma responses.
