Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, police or military experience preferred.
• ACT 235 Certification within 90 days (if applicable).
• Valid driver’s license required for certain locations.
• Ability to operate within 24-hour Security Response Center and use Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Provides security at fixed posts or patrols buildings and grounds.
• Interacts with staff, patients, visitors and students with professional conduct.
• Responds to calls for service and emergencies; notifies supervisor as needed.
• Verifies identification and escorts unauthorized persons from campus.
• Maintains patrol logs and submits reports to the supervisor or investigator.
• Assists with transportation across campus and escorts when requested.
• Supports safety teams and responds to fire or safety hazards in accordance with procedures.
• Performs related duties such as loss prevention checks and assisting with training of new security staff.
