The role requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of security or law enforcement experience. The position includes a good driving record, agility tests, and the potential to advance through an on-campus or affiliated academy.

Qualifications

• Requires four years of responsible law enforcement or security experience.
• Must pass a qualifying physical examination, agility, and drug tests.
• Police academy completion or ability to complete university-sponsored/law enforcement academy.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls involving criminal activity on campus.
• Patrols assigned posts and inspects buildings and grounds.
• Enforces University and DC laws and university policies.
• Assists in evacuations and handles disturbances with sound judgment.
• May appear in court or university hearings as a witness.
