Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls involving criminal activity within the university jurisdiction.
• Apprehends or detains individuals using force only when necessary to protect life or property.
• Notifies suspects of Miranda rights and reports all details to a Patrol Supervisor.
• Assists in crowd control and student gatherings with mature judgment and tact.
• Patrols assigned posts, inspects buildings and grounds, enforces laws and university policies.
• Evacuates buildings as directed and testifies in court or university hearings as required.
