Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report per campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity; report suspicious conditions and policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.
