Job summary

Alliance City Schools is seeking a Substitute Security Officer to coordinate safety and security for district buildings in Alliance, Ohio. The role is as-needed, reporting to the Director of Operations, with responsibilities including building checks, security procedures, and emergency notifications.

Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate integrity and strong interpersonal and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
• Excellent integrity and strong moral character.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, administration and community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety and security functions for the building.
• Work with school administration for regular building checks and security procedures.
• Assist with supervision of morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and direct to appropriate locations.
• Refer tardy students to the attendance clerk and report any emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff records and act with discretion.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Board of Education.
