Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of security or law enforcement experience.
• Knowledge of security methods, terminology and equipment.
• Active or retired law enforcement or Fort Wayne Fire Fighter/Allen County reserve officer.
• Indiana driver's license required.
• Must be able to transport to district buildings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and supervise campus to ensure safety and security during shifts.
• Investigate incidents and enforce local, state, and district regulations.
• Collaborate with administrators and staff on behavior and safety matters.
• Escort visitors and manage access to campus; direct unauthorized persons off campus.
• Support staff with student discipline and escort to/from administrative offices.
• Monitor campus for illegal activity; report graffiti and confiscate illegal items as directed.
• Report hazards and assist with emergency preparedness plans as needed.
• Maintain routine incident records and complete required forms.
