Job summary

Lynn University is seeking a Campus Safety Supervisor to oversee Campus Safety Officers and represent the university in daily campus safety operations. The role ensures a professional, customer-service oriented approach at all times.

You will supervise shifts, support staff, monitor patrols, enforce policies, handle incidents, and contribute to accreditation and safety programming. This position emphasizes leadership and proactive safety management on campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to drive in Florida.
• Must be willing and able to be CPR/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to a designated shift within the department's operational structure.
• Engage in consistent support to staff, visible patrol, and observation to promote campus safety for students, employees, and guests.
• Ensure adequate response to all matters reported during shift.
• Promote safety through prevention techniques and escalate concerns to appropriate administrator.
• Enforce Lynn University policies and procedures.
• Resolve conflicts with parents, students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner.
• Execute training requirements for Campus Safety staff.
• Review and approve Incident Reports generated during shift.
• Plan and schedule shift personnel, approve vacations, administer counseling and disciplinary actions, and maintain records.
• Provide leadership during urgent situations until administrative personnel arrive.
• Engage in assessment and accreditation efforts within campus safety.
• Participate in programming for campus safety topics for students, faculty, and staff.
• Act as a First Responder during crises (hurricanes, fires, floods, etc.).
