• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year related experience may be considered.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and Florida driving eligibility.
• Willing and able to obtain CPR/AED certification.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel; familiarity with CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to a designated shift within the department.
• Support staff, conduct visible patrols, and observe to promote campus safety.
• Ensure prompt response to matters reported during shift.
• Engage in prevention techniques and escalate concerns to administrators.
• Enforce Lynn University policies and procedures.
• Resolve conflicts with students, faculty, and staff professionally.
• Execute training requirements for Campus Safety staff.
• Review and approve Incident Reports generated during shift.
• Ensure reports contain relevant facts for university administration.
• Plan and schedule shift personnel; manage vacations and records.
• Lead during urgent situations until administration arrives; participate in accreditation efforts.
• Engage in student, faculty, and staff safety programming; act as First Responder in crises.
