Job summary

Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) seeks a Campus Safety & Support Officer to supervise students and campus facilities under the Campus Safety Supervisor. The role is 10 months, part-time, 3 hours daily, Monday through Friday, 10:30am–1:30pm, with a non-exempt FLSA status and hourly pay of $22.50 per hour.

You will work alongside security personnel, utilize the Degree Point System and Easy Lobby System, respond to incidents, and maintain safety and discipline across school grounds and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience with adolescents.
• Must complete mandatory ICС training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise interior and exterior of the school and grounds.
• Refer students to Student Intervention Director for infractions.
• Secure and log lost and found items.
• Respond to duty requests and incidents.
• Investigate student misconduct and complaints against non-students.
• Refer concerns to Director of Campus Safety.
• Prepare incident reports and other required documents.
• Escort students to the community library for safety.
• Provide coverage in the in-school suspension room when needed.
