Job summary

Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to support supervision of female students and maintain a secure, welcoming campus. This full-time role (40 hours/week) is scheduled to meet school needs and offers a 12-month contract with pay ranging from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

The officer will monitor activities, assist visitors, respond to safety concerns, and participate in drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in student supervision or campus safety preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to enforce policies with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in designated areas to promote safety.
• Monitor campus activity and address safety concerns.
• Check in visitors at the front gate and issue passes.
• Direct students, staff, parents, and visitors as needed.
• Manage traffic flow during drop-off and pick-up.
• Conduct safety checks of buildings and facilities.
