Job summary

GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY is seeking a Campus Safety Student Worker to support the Public Safety department on campus. You will direct traffic at booths, greet and check IDs, and assist with tasks as directed by a supervisor.

The role requires enrollment as a full-time student and a commitment to at least two shifts per week (up to 20 hours). The position prioritizes punctual, friendly, customer-focused individuals with a willingness to learn and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Criminal Justice Studies or ROTC students preferred.
• Sophomores and upperclassmen preferred; freshmen will only be considered in special cases.
• Customer service oriented.
• Must be punctual.
• Willingness to learn and able to follow procedures.
• Responsible, trustworthy, approachable, and assertive.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic to different campus locations at booths.
• Greet, ID, and decal check everyone coming onto campus.
• Assist with other details as assigned by a Public Safety Supervisor or Manager.
• Work a minimum of two shifts a week, up to 20 hours a week.
