Grand Canyon University’s Police Department seeks full-time Police Recruits to safeguard the campus and support community safety initiatives. You will train toward state certification, learn investigative methods, and participate in campus security operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old prior to academy graduation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must clear a comprehensive background check, polygraph, psych eval and medical screening per AZPOST.
• Must meet strict drug and criminal history standards with no felony convictions.

Responsibilities

• Work toward completion of state certification through an accredited law enforcement academy.
• Maintain peak physical fitness for demanding tasks and activities.
• Learn departmental operations, investigations, and report writing.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
