Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Speak and write clearly, concisely, and effectively in English; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally or in writing.
• Professional workplace etiquette and represent the school/department in a professional manner.
• Hold or obtain First Aid Certificate within three months from date of hire
• Valid Utah driver’s license and evidence of insurability with acceptable driving record that will be verified annually

Aufgaben

• Assist school personnel with maintaining the safety of the school community and facilities.
• Establish appropriate relationships with students to promote a positive learning and working environment.
• Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns
• Assist with the supervision of assigned school activities
• Direct traffic and parking on campus; check vehicles for proper parking authorization; determine if unauthorized vehicles are parked in restricted areas
• Check school security systems such as alarm systems, locks, gates, and doors to minimize and eliminate potential security issues and unsafe conditions
• Monitor student behavior before, during, and after school to ensure student compliance with regulations
• Identify cues to identify potential concerns or inappropriate activity
• Communicate information regularly with relevant school personnel to coordinate safety efforts
• Adhere to and apply school, district, and legal policies; inform the community of policies and procedures
• Refer incidents to site personnel under administrative guidelines
• Prepare standard documentation (incident logs, security logs) to provide written support
• Work with other safety personnel to maintain a safe learning environment
• Communicate effectively with diverse groups while maintaining confidentiality
• Work with limited supervision
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other related duties as assigned
