Job summary

East High School in Salt Lake City is seeking a Campus Safety aide to monitor safety on campus during school hours. The role supports students, staff, and visitors and enforces policies to maintain a secure learning environment.

The position is part-time (0.7375 FTE), up to 29.5 hours per week, with a starting wage of $16.50 per hour and non-contract status. Prior security or law enforcement experience is helpful but not required; a First Aid certificate and valid Utah driver’s license are

Qualifications

• Must speak and write clearly, concisely, and effectively in English.
• Professional workplace etiquette and represent the school/department in a professional manner.
• Hold or obtain First Aid Certificate within three months from date of hire.
• Valid Utah driver’s license and evidence of insurability with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist school personnel with maintaining the safety of the school community and facilities.
• Establish appropriate relationships with students to promote a positive learning and working environment.
• Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns.
• Assist with the supervision of assigned school activities.
• Direct traffic and parking on campus; check vehicles for proper parking authorization.
