Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a part-time campus security officer to patrol the Greeley campus, respond to incidents, and assist with crowd and traffic management. The role emphasizes prompt reporting, collaboration with law enforcement, and maintaining campus safety for students, staff, and guests.

The position requires relevant experience or an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, plus successful completion of required screenings and certifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Law, or related field.
• Five years of law enforcement or related experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings and have firearms/defensive tactics certification.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and facilities on foot, vehicle, or bicycle and provide post duties as assigned.
• Investigate security matters and write complete, accurate incident reports.
• Enforce campus rules, manage traffic and crowd control, and assist with emergencies.
• Serve as initial responder to emergencies and maintain certifications as required.
