Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a part-time Campus Security Officer to safeguard the Greeley campus and personnel. The role involves patrolling facilities, assisting the campus community, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, coordinating with law enforcement when required, conducting safety escorts, and enforcing campus rules. Candidates should have an Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field and relevant

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Law, or related field; 3 years related experience, or 5 years law enforcement or related experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical exam, urinalysis, and psychological exam.
• Must have firearm experience and pass MVR checks.
• Post/Defensive Tactics/Basic First Aid/CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and buildings via foot, vehicle, or bike; provide stationary posts as assigned.
• Report security breaches and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
• Deliver safety escorts for campus community members upon request.
• Handle crowd management and monitor parking lots to deter incidents.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain calm, and follow lockdown procedures.
