Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Specialist II– Safety and Security to support campus safety and emergency operations. The role reports to the Executive Director – Safety & Security and oversees campus monitors within a pyramid of schools.

The position focuses on coordinating with administrators, law enforcement, and community partners to maintain a safe learning environment and to respond to incidents and emergencies as they arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5 years' experience in public education, law enforcement, emergency management, or related field. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Liaison on behalf of the Safety & Security Department with administrators, law enforcement, security staff, and community partners.
• Elevates campus safety by providing accurate guidance on security topics, identifying hazards, and reporting safety events.
• Assist administrators with annual updates and maintenance of campus emergency operations plans.
• Provides incident reports to contacts at juvenile probation, law enforcement, Student Discipline & Placement, and Safety & Security.
• Responds to calls for assistance at campuses during emergencies.
• Guides students, parents, and administrators on policy and law violations.
• Trains administrators in standard response protocols and security systems.
