Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Specialist II Intervention Services to perform casework, coordinate community-based supports, and act as a liaison between schools and partners in supporting students’ personal and academic success.

The role requires a Masters in a relevant field, Texan licensure options, and at least 3 years of experience in family services, with English/Spanish proficiency preferred for effective communication with families.

Qualifications

• Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Social or Behavioral Science, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
• Texas license as a Social Worker (LCSW, LMSW), Counselor (LPC), or LMFT required.
• 3 years of experience; family communications or social services work preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) working proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake and assessment services for families referred to the FRC.
• Coordinate collaborative provision of targeted services with identified community partners.
• Maintain standardized FRC data collection system and submit monthly reports, surveys, and needs assessments.
• Identify and explore causes of student dysfunction related to home, school, and community; conduct home visits as needed.
• Serve as a consultant to school personnel on student situations not referred for direct district services.
• Counsel parents regarding student performance, behavior, and needs.
