Job summary

Austin Peay State University Police Department is seeking a Police Officer to maintain a safe campus by patrolling, enforcing laws, and upholding university policies. Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must pass a psychological examination.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• Must pass a physical examination by a licensed physician.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Crime prevention, campus patrol, radio communications, parking and traffic enforcement, criminal investigations and follow-up, and report writing.
• Provide protection for University persons, property, and guests.
• Maintain surveillance of all areas within department jurisdiction.
• Identify and report hazards to safety and security of the campus.
• Interact with other law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
