Austin Community College District is seeking a District Police Patrol Officer to provide safety and security services across campus facilities. You will perform licensed police duties within a college setting, coordinate with fellow officers, write incident logs and citations, and assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors with information and directions.

The role requires a Texas Peace Officer License, a valid Texas driver license, and completion of an accredited law enforcement program.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or educational equivalent and completion of an Accredited Law Enforcement Agency Program.
• Texas Peace Officer License and Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Must meet all Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education requirements for employment as a patrol officer.
• Criminal background check, drug screen, and psychological/physical examinations.
• Past supervisors may be interviewed for a reference.

Responsabilités

• Performs all duties of a licensed police officer in a college environment and coordinates with other officers.
• Writes and files daily logs, incident reports, issues parking permits, and citations.
• Provides information and directions to faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
• Opens and secures buildings and classrooms; maintains equipment and inventory.
• Testifies in court as required.
• May lead other officers in orienting or training.
• Collaborates with campus managers on safety and security issues.
