Job summary

Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time Campus Safety Officer (CSO) to serve on the Campus Safety team. The CSO will patrol, respond to incidents, provide dispatching services, and help enforce campus policies to protect lives and property.

This unarmed security role emphasizes customer service, professionalism, and collaboration with students and staff. Hours vary including weekends and overtime; training is provided and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with diverse student population with focus on service.
• Ability to pass PA Lethal Weapons Training Act certification within six months.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one at hire.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform event security and campus patrol.
