Job summary

Colorado College is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to support patrols, emergency response, and campus security operations on the Main Campus. This role works in a 24/7 operation and may include weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and incident response to maintain a safe learning environment.

The officer coordinates communications, monitors security systems, and collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Associate degree or related certifications (NIMS ICS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary communications contact via phone, email, radio, and in person.
• Patrol campus areas to deter theft, vandalism, and trespass; enforce regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; document and report actions taken.
