Ursinus College is seeking full-time Campus Safety Officers to patrol the 170-acre campus, including nights, weekends and holidays. CSOs are non-sworn, unarmed staff responsible for high-visibility patrols, responding to emergencies, and assisting the college community.
The role requires excellent customer service, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work shifts and overtime as needed.
Ursinus College is seeking full-time Campus Safety Officers (CSOs) to work an assigned schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work special events, attend mandatory in-service training, and staff meetings, as well as be available for overtime when necessary.
Ursinus College CSOs are non-sworn, unarmed employees tasked with patrolling the 170-acre campus to discourage criminal behavior and interact with all members of the college community to promote a sense of well-being and security and enhance the quality of life on the Ursinus College campus.
Ursinus College CSOs are expected to be ambassadors for the college and provide exceptional customer service to all members of the college community. Successful candidates will not only show an aptitude for handling emergencies but also demonstrate interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset to serve the college community and create a safe environment for learning and growth.
Determination of shift will be based on department needs and is subject to change with reasonable notice.
