Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Report for work when the College is closed or delayed in opening as needed.
  • Complete incident reports documenting accidents or safety concerns.
  • Distribute employee parking permits.
  • Work varying days / shifts at Richland and Somerset campuses as scheduled.
  • Open and close College buildings and classrooms as needed.
  • Patrol parking lots and issue citations for parking policy violations.
  • Monitor campus for suspicious or dangerous behavior.
  • Assist during evacuations or emergency situations.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $16.25 - $16.25 Hourly

Travel Percentage: Up to 25%

Job Scope

Responds to emergency or safety and security related concerns. Patrols College and provides first-line response, emergency management and/or law enforcement referral if needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • As an essential position, may be asked to report for work when the College is closed or delayed in opening.
  • Complete incident reports documenting accidents or safety and security concerns.
  • Distribute employee parking permits.
  • Work varying days / shifts at Richland and Somerset campuses as scheduled.

  • Patrol parking lots and issue citations for violations of the parking policy.
  • Monitor campus for suspicious or dangerous behavior.
  • Assist during evacuation or any emergency circumstances.
  • Attendance at all mandatory meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Experience & Knowledge:
  • Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
Computer Skills:
  • Able to use or learn computer programs relative to job including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power Point, Word) and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Criminal background clearance
  • Valid PA driver’s license
Physical Demands:
  • This position is required to stand, walk, sit, see, use hands, reach, kneel, talk, and hear for extended periods during a shift.
  • The position may require lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds.
