Job summary

Quinnipiac University is hiring a Public Safety Officer to help provide a safe campus environment for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The role reports to the Public Safety Sergeant and includes gate duty, patrols, communications center responsibilities, and parking enforcement.

The position requires a high school diploma (or GED) with preferred associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field; CPR/AED credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in a Safety and Security profession preferred but not required.
• CPR & AED certificates, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Gate Entrance Security and Parking Enforcement.
• Patrol and Building Security; Communications Center duties.
• Answer routine and emergency calls; dispatch incidents.
• Assist in emergencies and report writing in residence halls and facilities.
