Job summary

Roberts Wesleyan University is seeking a Full-time Campus Safety Investigations & Training Coordinator. This role leads investigations, coordinates officer training, ensures Clery Act compliance, and provides administrative support within the Office of Campus Safety.

The position requires experience in interviews, evidence handling, and detailed reporting, with the ability to collaborate across campus and with law enforcement as needed. Flexibility for evening/weekend duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Emergency Management, or related field.
• Prior law enforcement or investigative experience strongly preferred.
• Experience interviewing, evaluating evidence, and preparing detailed investigative reports.
• Knowledge of the Clery Act; ability to complete advanced Clery compliance training after hire.
• Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, NYS Education Law 129-A/129-B, and campus safety requirements.
• Ability to complete Title IX investigator training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist with Campus Safety investigations involving students, employees, visitors, property, and other University matters.
• Interview complainants, respondents, witnesses, and others; collect, preserve, review, and organize evidence.
• Prepare clear, factual investigative reports and assist officers with complex investigations.
• Serve as Title IX investigator when directed, conducting impartial fact finding and reporting.
• Coordinate with Campus Safety, Title IX, Student Affairs, HR, and law enforcement as appropriate.
• Coordinate and provide in-person training for Campus Safety personnel and officer orientation.
