Job summary

Franklin Pierce University is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to maintain a safe campus environment on a 10- or 12-month basis. Roles include patrols, emergency response, access control, and ID issuance, with shifts often running 8:00–16:00, 16:00–00:00, or 00:00–08:00.

Reporting to the Lead Shift Officer and Director of Campus Safety. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year in campus safety or law enforcement, and valid license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in law enforcement or campus safety.
• CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Crowd Management, OSHA, Defensive Driver, and Safety training within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and respond to emergencies.
• Manage access controls and after-hours property checks.
• Conduct routine rounds and respond to fire/security alarms.
• Dispatch and provide transportation services as needed.
• Produce University ID cards and support other departments.
