Job summary

Plymouth State University is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to patrol its campus and provide emergency assistance to the community. The role involves responding to a wide range of incidents and collaborating with University Police. Officers are expected to document incidents, conduct security checks, and ensure a safe environment for students and staff.

The position requires a clean criminal record, physical capability, and strong communication skills. Candidates will be engaged in significant community support activities and role modeling for students.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Emergency response is helpful.
• Able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, lift 50 lbs.
• Clean Criminal Record Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Patrol University properties and conduct routine checks.
• Respond to incidents and provide assistance to the community.
• Investigate violations of University policies.
• May be required to testify in hearings.
• Serve as first responders to alarms and emergencies.
• Provide crime prevention education to students.
