Job summary

Indian Rocks Church is seeking a Safety and Security Officer to provide security and safety services for students, staff, and visitors. The role requires proactive security measures, rapid emergency response, and collaboration with church and school leadership to sustain a secure campus environment.

Candidate should have a background in security or law enforcement, pass background screening, and hold Florida D and G Licensing or be able to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Law enforcement background preferred.
• Must pass background screening.
• Florida D and G Licensing, or ability to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible security presence across the campus to protect students, staff, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies including medical, fire, and other critical incidents.
• Monitor security systems, patrol premises, and identify hazards or threats.
• Maintain accurate security incident logs and timely reports.
• Enforce safety protocols and cooperate with school and church leadership on safety planning.
• Work with management, staff, volunteers, and community to fulfill Indian Rocks’ mission.
