Green Dot Public Schools California is seeking a School Culture Associate to help maintain a safe, welcoming campus environment. The role involves monitoring students before, during, and after school, and collaborating with site administrators to enforce safety policies and SEL programs.

The SCA will use active listening, de-escalation, and conflict-resolution skills, supervise common areas, and assist with safety escorts. TB test and background check are required upon offer.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED with college courses in psychology, sociology, counseling or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Familiar with community culture, values and issues relevant to the served area.
• Knowledge of safety rules, adolescent development, and trauma-informed approaches used to support learning environments.
• Ability to establish good relations with students and communicate with staff, parents and students.
• Driver’s license and private transportation or reliable alternative transport may be required.

• Assist in creating a safe, welcoming school environment for students, staff and community members using active listening and de-escalation techniques.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and secure property.
• Provide information to administrators about campus tension and its causes/effects.
• Supervise campus areas before, during and after school.
• Support mediations and conflict resolution with students as needed.
• Escort and accompany students, staff, and guests when required.
• Participate in meetings and trainings related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
