Job summary

MAAS is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for CSU Long Beach's University Student Union renovation, a $235 million, design-build project running from July 2024 to July 2028. The role leads on-site construction, budget reconciliation, and stakeholder decisions to maintain scope within budget.

You will supervise the project team, manage submittals, and coordinate reviews with CPDC, CSU Board of Trustees, and other boards. On-site presence in Long Beach is required.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of public works project experience.
• Design-build or progressive design-build experience.
• Senior level project leadership of design and construction teams.
• Availability to work on site at the Long Beach campus, in person only.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and construction process from scope development through closeout.
• Manage contract budgets, reconcile with the Division Fiscal Manager, and report monthly cash flow.
• Guide stakeholder design decisions to stay within budget and coordinate value engineering.
• Oversee plan reviews and compliance with all approving agencies.
• Provide leadership and supervision of the project team.
