Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an APAC-leaning Python engineer to join our Core Development team, building data pipelines, post-trade infrastructure, and analytics platforms used across markets.

You will collaborate with trading desks, operations, and research, deliver production-grade Python services, and help migrate components to Rust for performance and reliability. This role offers exposure to a fast-paced trading environment with global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Proficient in Python with production systems experience.
• Comfortable on Linux and shell environments.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Solid debugging skills and quick navigation of unfamiliar codebases.

Responsibilities

• Data pipelines — develop ETL pipelines sourcing, normalizing, and delivering vendor, tick/bar, and trading data.
• Business-specific infrastructure — build trading platforms enabling expansion into new markets.
• Post-trade analytics — perform statistical analysis, build anomaly detection, and model exchange behavior.
• Post-trade systems — operate infrastructure for trade lifecycle, clearing, and PnL, migrating core components to Rust.
• Production ownership — diagnose incidents, trace data through pipelines, and own end-to-end delivery.
