Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer Supervisor for University Police on the Dallas campus. The role supervises and trains public safety officers, oversees patrols, incident reporting, and security operations to protect university property and people.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior security leadership experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or graduation from vocational school or equivalent.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead others; prior experience in security operations, emergency response, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Trains and supervises Public Safety Officer force; prepares work assignments and schedules.
• Conducts security patrols on campus and responses to calls not requiring police.
• Writes reports and conducts development counseling.
• Maintains shift schedules, reviews reports, and recommends disciplinary actions.
• Provides directions and information to visitors; patrols buildings and grounds to prevent crime.
